Pull Up Banners

Very interesting post, it's good to see the more eco-friendly options getting their due

Carl,
You need to google "Looknglas". Then you will get our info. The projection is called rear projection. There are a number of companies who are doing rear projection on windows, but mostly just for display and the "wow!" factor. We are focusing on using it more for POS/POP sales messaging. Especially direct response sales propositions.

Ed,

Not at all self-serving - this is really fantastic. Digital is the way to go - posters are so 1997, right? :)

Thanks for the comment and keep them coming.

Wishing you all good things,
Heather :)

Heather, I know this is totally self-serving, but hey! What else is new? That is a very cool technology that most retailers will never afford. Window Video Systems (WVS) by Looknglas, and quite the opposite. Very cool, affordable, green, and ideal for design people because you can do what you want right on a storefront window. Check out this Youtube of our Digital Mannequin:

We are a new company dedicated to making this kind of display affordable and easy for retailers-very bottom shelf, price-wise. Posters, banners, and signs are officially obsolete. Why say one thing, when you can say everything you really want to? Why dress up a static dummy, when you can have your creation modeled "live" with the Digital Mannequin? I don't know, seems like a no-brainer, huh? Interested in your thoughts.

POS Canada Carl

It always seemed to me that those video-wall billboards must use a TON of power, so this is reassuring to hear.

I wonder what it looks like, or how it works (I googled "laser phosphor-based illumination" and only got complex lists of technical information...).
